  Sariska Palace

This
former palace & royal hunting lodge on the edge of Sariska National Park
was built by the Maharaja of Alwar, for the visit of Queen Victoria`s son, the
Duke of Connaught. Its architecture is a blend of French, regal, with eastern
detailing & is now a Heritage Hotel. The interior is not opulent but it
does have some Louis XIV & art deco furniture, along with wicker chairs
  & Victoriana.

The rooms & suites are gigantic (with typical high ceilings) & clean,
with phones but no TVs; Some are air-conditioned. The lovely flower bedecked
grounds are encircled by a large wall to keep the animals out, though they often
find their way in. At times you may be lucky to see wildlife while relaxing
  on the hotel terrace itself.

Recreation & Leisure
Lush green forests. Silent valleys. Enchanting glades. Brilliant, flaming sunrise
  and sunsets. Velvety black

nights
spread under a canopy woven with glittering jewels. The myriad colors of dancing
flowers. The chirping of thousands of birds. The overwhelming tranquility.

And nestling amidst this incredible beauty is The Sariska Palace, a heritage
hotel, which once was the hunting lodge of the royal family of Alwar.

The romance of Sariska is never ending. Just like it history. From the time
the Buddhists built their monasteries, to the time the Pratiharas their temples
and closer down in history, the Mughals who setup their Shikar camps, Sariska
is wrapped in a tradition as old as the Aravallis. The range of hills formed
by the oldest rock on earth.

The Sariska Palace. A perfect naturopathic retreat where you rejuvenate mind
and body, as indeed was done by ascetics and emperors, down the ages.
