After working with one
of the biggest Travel Agents in India from 1976 to 1990, I set up MIDTOWN
TRAVELS
PVT LTD on 25th July 1991 and since then we have been providing services to our
clients - innovative itineraries, extra-ordinary technical support, round the
clock transport services, personalized services from stopover city packages to
tours covering India, Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
The marketing and operations are controlled from New Delhi and our networking of
offices with over 200 experienced associates covering all the destinations offer
personalized services. We maintain excellent relations with suppliers - hotels
in all categories, transporters and both National and International Airlines.
INBOUND TOURS
We specialize in General Interest Tours, Train Tours including the Luxurious
Palace on Wheels & Royal Orient Express, Heritage Tours, Buddhist Pilgrimage
Tours, Wildlife Tours, Camel & Horse Safaris, Adventure Tours including
river rafting, Incentive Tours including the Gala Evenings, Theme Dinners
etc. and Normal Sightseeing Tours.
Our main markets are South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan,
Hong Kong, China, Indonesia and Switzerland & United Kingdom.
We are recognized by Government of India, Department of Tourism as a Tour
Operator and we are members of IATO, KATA, AFTAA, and APAVT.
In the first year of the New Millennium, our biggest achievement was to
provide services to the FIRST EVER 14 Charter Flight Groups from Taiwan.
Each group consisted of 158 persons and the total of 2167 persons traveled
to Indian on these Charter Flights.
During the period April 2000 to March 2001, we handled a total of 6054
persons to our part of the world in Groups and Individuals. This includes
the Charter flights groups also. Our total turnover during this period, in
Foreign Exchange rose to INRS.93 Million and this is a very high figure for
a small company like Midtown.
TRANSPORT
We can meet your all type of transport needs, be it Cars, Vans or Coaches
(both mini and large). All the transport used by us is air-conditioned and
the entire fleet will be less than 2 years old.
GUIDES
Language is no more a barrier now. We have guides and interpreters who can
communicate with your clients and explain in their language about tour and
destination details.
WEBSITE
We have a large website where, apart from giving information on India, we
have put the hotels directory giving hotel pictures, number of rooms and the
facilities available at these hotels. You will find this very useful and you
can visit our websites at

We are in the process of making a mega website where
we plan to put more information and this new website will be interactive. You
will be able to view the special hotel rates and also you will be able to
negotiate rates for a particular period and you will be able to make the
bookings also on this website.
Another feature that we will be offering to our agents, a homepage with a
user name and password. All the bookings of a particular agent will be
displayed at this home page and will be regularly updated. Our agents will
be able to make any amendment that takes place and all those amendments will
be immediately directed to us. Then, we will make the amendments and at the
same time update the home page. This home page will be secure and nobody
else other than the user with the password will be able to view this home
page.
We get good rates from all the hotels in India because of our volume
business and we can give you very competitive rates for your groups and
individual clients.
