  in the world. The palace was built by 3000 artisans worked over 14 years. The 
  palace consumed one million square feet of the finest marble. 
  
  This magnificent pink sandstone palace, built in the 1930s in the art deco style 
  of colonial India is perhaps the grandest of the palace hotels of Rajasthan. 
  Its also home to the current Jodhpur Maharaja. The public rooms are lavish & 
  filled with objects de art. Many of the rooms, though not opulent, have period

  5 kms from Railway Station and 3 kms from Bus Stand of Jodhpur. It is one of

  this magnificent edifice of hand-chiselled sandstone blocks put together by

  15 acres of which are taken up by gardens, the palace is 195 meters long and 
  103 meters wide.

  English crystal. Some of the old retainers of the royal household are still 
  there to serve the needs of present day guests with the gracious hospitality
